After transfer, he is removed from the system permanently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I looked at Noah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis gets you out?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He nodded despite not fully understanding.<\/p>\n<p>I placed my hand on the scanner.<\/p>\n<p>Noah placed his beside mine.<\/p>\n<p>TRANSFER COMPLETE.<\/p>\n<p>Then:<\/p>\n<p>NOAH REYNOLDS \u2014 AUTHENTICATION RETIRED.<\/p>\n<p>Noah looked at me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoes that mean they don\u2019t need me anymore?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The relief in his voice was unmistakable.<\/p>\n<p>Vale looked away.<\/p>\n<p>The steel door behind us suddenly slammed shut.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler jumped.<\/p>\n<p>Mark remained outside.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSarah!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I ran to the door.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMark?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStay inside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gunfire erupted in the archive.<\/p>\n<p>Noah screamed.<\/p>\n<p>I pulled both boys behind the couch.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca shouted through the speaker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVale\u2019s men are engaging the response team!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shots cracked outside.<\/p>\n<p>Then Mark yelled.<\/p>\n<p>A body hit the door.<\/p>\n<p>The lights flickered.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler buried his face against my shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>Noah kept staring at the steel door.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDad\u2019s out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He had called Mark Dad.<\/p>\n<p>Not Mark.<\/p>\n<p>Not that man.<\/p>\n<p>Dad.<\/p>\n<p>The distinction was painful.<\/p>\n<p>A minute passed.<\/p>\n<p>Then another.<\/p>\n<p>Gunfire slowed.<\/p>\n<p>Someone struck the door.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSarah!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foster.<\/p>\n<p>I recognized his voice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDavid?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOpen it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I searched the wall.<\/p>\n<p>The control panel flashed.<\/p>\n<p>UNSEAL?<\/p>\n<p>I pressed it.<\/p>\n<p>The door opened.<\/p>\n<p>Foster stood there supported by a medic, his leg bandaged.<\/p>\n<p>Behind him, armed federal officers flooded the archive.<\/p>\n<p>Mark sat against the wall.<\/p>\n<p>Alive.<\/p>\n<p>His shoulder had been wrapped.<\/p>\n<p>Vale was gone.<\/p>\n<p>I stared at the place where he had been.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere is he?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark looked toward the corridor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe escaped.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the response officers helped him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca swore through the speaker.<\/p>\n<p>Foster\u2019s expression darkened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhich officer?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark pointed toward a body on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The man was unconscious but alive.<\/p>\n<p>Foster examined his credentials.<\/p>\n<p>His face changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese aren\u2019t federal credentials.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca said, \u201cRead the name.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foster did.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMichael Trent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Silence.<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca whispered, \u201cHe worked Daniel\u2019s crash.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My stomach tightened.<\/p>\n<p>Mark stood despite the medic trying to stop him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s the one who hit Daniel\u2019s car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca confirmed it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then every light in the second vault turned red.<\/p>\n<p>A warning appeared.<\/p>\n<p>SECONDARY ARCHIVE ACCESS ATTEMPT.<\/p>\n<p>I stared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomeone is trying to open it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rebecca answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom where?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She checked.<\/p>\n<p>Then her voice changed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot from here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A map appeared.<\/p>\n<p>One location flashed.<\/p>\n<p>The motel where Emily was supposedly being held.<\/p>\n<p>Noah stood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark went pale.<\/p>\n<p>Someone with Emily was trying to access Daniel\u2019s protected identity archive.<\/p>\n<p>And the attempt was not coming from Vale.<\/p>\n<p>It was using Emily\u2019s credentials.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/feeleverystory.online\/?p=591\">Click here to continue reading: PART 10: Emily\u2019s Credentials Opened Daniel\u2019s Most Dangerous Archive, but the Voice Behind the Request Was Someone We Had Believed Was Dead<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The steel door finished unlocking with a deep mechanical thud that seemed to travel through the floor.
