answered, \u201cBecause you did plenty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn&#39;t forge the trust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>My head snapped up.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis stared.<\/p>\n<p>Bridget continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew it was being filed. That is not the same thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mara said, \u201cYou gave them Eleanor&#39;s signature samples.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo. Martin&#39;s archive had them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou gave them Rosalind&#39;s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Silence.<\/p>\n<p>Then Bridget whispered, \u201cOne Christmas card.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rosalind swore.<\/p>\n<p>Bridget had taken a Christmas card from my house.<\/p>\n<p>A sample of Rosalind&#39;s full handwriting.<\/p>\n<p>Enough to imitate the witness signature.<\/p>\n<p>Mara asked, \u201cWho forged it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bridget answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don&#39;t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mara laughed bitterly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, you do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreg?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Silence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCaroline?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Longer silence.<\/p>\n<p>Then Bridget said something almost too soft to hear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDana.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Priya stopped the recording.<\/p>\n<p>Martin&#39;s paralegal.<\/p>\n<p>Dana Reeves.<\/p>\n<p>The woman whose credentials had filed the forged trust.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis whispered, \u201cShe forged Mom&#39;s signature?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Priya did not answer.<\/p>\n<p>The recording was not finished.<\/p>\n<p>Mara asked why Dana would do it.<\/p>\n<p>Bridget said, \u201cBecause Gregory owns her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mara asked what that meant.<\/p>\n<p>Another pause.<\/p>\n<p>Then Bridget answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAsk him what happened to her father.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Priya and Mr. Hale looked at each other.<\/p>\n<p>A new name.<\/p>\n<p>A new connection.<\/p>\n<p>And possibly the person who had enough access to send anonymous warnings.<\/p>\n<p>Because Dana Reeves had access to Martin&#39;s archive, Walter&#39;s amendment, Northbridge communications through Gregory&#39;s stolen credentials, and the filing system.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, the anonymous sender had a shape.<\/p>\n<p>Not proof.<\/p>\n<p>But a shape.<\/p>\n<p>Priya searched Dana Reeves&#39;s emergency-contact records from Martin&#39;s firm.<\/p>\n<p>Father: Samuel Reeves.<\/p>\n<p>Age seventy-six.<\/p>\n<p>Deceased.<\/p>\n<p>Date of death: two years earlier.<\/p>\n<p>I asked the question before anyone else did.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid Northbridge handle his house?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Priya searched public property records.<\/p>\n<p>Then her face changed.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Reeves&#39;s home had been sold three weeks after he entered assisted living.<\/p>\n<p>The property-management company listed in the transaction was Vale Transitional Services.<\/p>\n<p>The company Caroline Mercer owned before Northbridge.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/feeleverystory.online\/?p=14112\">Click here to continue reading: PART 18: Dana\u2019s Father Had Lost His Home Through Gregory\u2019s Earlier Company, and Her Secret Access Explained How Someone Kept Warning Us<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Priya told me not to go anywhere.
