rear parcel.<\/p>\n<p>The one Holt Ridge bought.<\/p>\n<p>The one we later sold.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow does that connect to Parcel Seven?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe trust terms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Samuel continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the Hanover parcel was redeveloped and increased in value, mineral rights from the old quarry were to transfer to the owner responsible for that redevelopment, subject to environmental conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniel whispered, \u201cThat&#39;s insane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Samuel almost smiled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy parents were complicated people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid litigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mercer\u2019s phone rang.<\/p>\n<p>He listened.<\/p>\n<p>His expression sharpened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLawson just moved money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow much?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlue Heron wired four hundred eighty thousand dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo whom?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mercer looked toward the Western Element documents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCrestline Resource Holdings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>David Merton.<\/p>\n<p>The capital partner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPayment for what?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don&#39;t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Evelyn looked at the calendar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeposit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn what?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She pointed to Parcel Seven.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA purchase they expect to make
